Mastiffs that have been adopted (continued)
Aurora

Aurora just arrived and needs to be spayed. She was turned into the shelter because the new owner said she was dog aggressive. She hasn't been here long enough to be sure but she seems to like the other Mastiffs...
Aurora has been adopted by Mary-ann Poulos and now has 3 couches, a bed, and doggie friend, Tessa.
Zeus
Description: Zeus is a really nice older gentleman, though he acts ALOT younger
than his years. He is good with most other dogs, though needs a little time to
warm up, and is housetrained. Heartworm negative and on preventative. He is a
family dog as he loves children, and people in general. He is quite attentive
and good with voice commands - sit, down, and stay - and really wants to please.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email. Zeus doesn't
seem to like cats. I have 6 cats and no problems, but he will not be placed in a
home with cats.
Update from Zeus' new family... Just wanted to let you know what a WONDERFUL dog Zeus is! (Course you knew that anyway!) He's so sweet and loving and really listens well. Loves to play, and lay in the sun on the deck, and EAT! He gets SO bouncy and silly at mealtimes. He sleeps next to my bed; he's a real comfort. I'll send you more details (and pictures) soon. Thanks SO much for giving me the opportunity to be owned by him!
The latest on Zeus - "I can't believe what Zeus-Moose did yesterday morning! He woke me up about 3 a.m., poking me with his nose and woofing loudly, which he never does. He didn't need to go out, and it wasn't thundering...I was really shaky and disoriented...finally realized I was having an insulin reaction. I keep a bag of gumdrops next to the bed, and as soon as I ate some, he lay back down and went back to sleep...don't know if it was coincedence or not, but it's like he knew I was in trouble...
Thank you again for giving me a chance to be owned by him! He's my hero-moose!
Cairo
Update from Cairo's new family... Cairo was adopted the end of May, 1998. Let me just say that Cairo is older and has a history of several medical conditions. The family that adopted her didn't even flinch when I told them. They fell in love on the spot (when we met, they got out of their car and said "We thought she would be MUCH worse - she is BEAUTIFUL!") and have welcomed her to their family in such a loving and amazing way. Thank you Dolans!

Everything is going great. Cairo's personality is really shining through. She has decided that my 12 yr old is her best Bud. She now insists on sleeping in her room, and has found a great new game to play with my daughter. It seems Cairo has learned that when she squeaks her play toy enough, my daughter try's to take it away (Not a Chance). So now when Cairo wants to play she gets her toy and heads to wherever my daughter is, she will keep squeaking it until she gets the response she wants. Then she takes off, with my daughter in pursuit. I love it!! .
She has completly won over the cat! I came home from work yesterday and found her sleeping with the cat curled up between her legs. I guess the last hold out has finally come around. I am amazed at how quickly she has settled in. .
She is mooching for food like she has been with us her whole life. She knows just the right facial expression for each member of the family, to get a treat. We have spoiled her quite a bit. She goes for family rides and of course has to have a plain hamburger from Mcdonalds when were out. She knows if there is a drive up window, she should get a treat. This applies to Mcdonalds, and banks. .
I do want to thank you again for your help in allowing us to adopt her. She is a perfect part of our family.
