Old Cystinuria Articles That Are Still Informative and interesting but outdated –

While reading these old articles, please keep in mind that Cystinuria in Mastiffs is much more complex than previously thought.  We also now know that Cystinuria in Mastiffs is considered a late onset disease compared to Newfoundlands and therefore Mastiffs should be Nitroprusside tested as adults and those with negative test results should be retested annually or before each breeding.  The price of Cystinuria testing is now $40 and the PennGen Metabolic Lab’s address has changed.
